Michael Edenfield

Townsend – Mr. Michael “Mike” Harold Edenfield age 70, of Townsend, passed away at home on Wednesday February 18 after an extended illness.  A longtime resident of McIntosh County, Mike was beloved by his wife and family, and by his Sunday school class and church families at Darien Church of God, and previously Bay Harbor Church of God and Townsend Church of God.  Mike made a career of welding until his retirement, enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and movies, and was proud of his children and grandchildren. Most of all, Mike loved Jesus and spoke of Him often.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ruth Edenfield of Brantley County, and his grandson Silas Edenfield, of Lyons.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Patsy and his daughter Star Edenfield of Townsend, his son Dusty Wilkes of Vidalia, his son and daughter in law Archie and Jessica Edenfield and their children, Mike's grandsons Michael Edenfield, Gideon Edenfield , and Jason Edenfield of Lyons, and his sister Susan Keene of Brantley County and brother and sister in law Gary and Bonnie Edenfield of Brunswick as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, at 11 AM at Darien Church of God with Pastor Tommy Whaley officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church.
